Start of the parade with band leading the way

As the dedication service kicked off, we went on a two mile march through the village led by a small marching band. The march started with about 100 in the parade, and ended with 250.

Team's proud moment of project finalization

Not pictured and Dan and Christy who were taking pictures with 14 cameras, Jennifer, John Mark, and Anthony who were leading a lady to the Lord down the street.

Today, we attended the local church. The pastors wife lead singing, many speacial singers, including a young children's group. Dan then brought the message, with Anthony translating into Creole. This evening we showed the Jesus film. Without alot of publicity we had about 220 attend. Tomorrow the pastor and team will go out into the community to let everyone know we will be showing it again Monday night. Please pray that attendance will be high and lifes will be changed.

Tommorrow will be a big day for the team. We have alot to get done. Please pray for the teams safety as we will be putting the tin on the roof.

We give God all the priase for the accomplishments made and for His protection.

Saturday VBS

After working until noon, we had lunch then VBS with the local children. We probably had about 300 kids and adults attend. We sang, had puppet shows, read bible stories, and finished with a craft project. This picture is the pastor's wife reading the story of Jesus being born. Jennifer also read the story of Mary being told she was going to have a baby.

Friday

Today all the children sang that even without food they are still so full of joy cause they have heaven...Thank you Gateway for giving a gift that goes beyond time..and into eternity..you have helped bring something in this church for them that will sustain the hope of heaven...! Progress on the church is ahead of schedule and all the men working with us are amazed how God put this team together. The roof rafters are almost complete, and the pews are more than halfway finished, and all the painting will be completed soon as our whole team completes this next. Plan for the completion is Tuesday afternoon and the dedication of the new Desfontaines church of the Nazarene will be Wednesday at night. We will show the Jesus Film this Sunday night in the new church; please pray for showing!! Everyone is incredibly healthy..wow!! PRAISE GOD!
